The Dstl Olfactory Sciences Team seeks to improve and extend the capability and performance of UK MOD and Other Government Departments' operational canine detection teams, to meet current and future threats. This includes the detection of existing/emerging threat materials and their associated compounds in diverse scenarios, training and testing protocols, welfare and operational effectiveness, and ultimately increasing fundamental knowledge of olfaction.
