Life-saving-bloodwarming equipment for Afghanistan
The EnFlowTM 100 Rapid Blood and Fluid Warmer quickly heats up blood and fluids reaching vital organs and injured areas without affecting the patient’s core temperature and reducing the risk of complications such as hypothermia and coagulopathy.
It can be used on board emergency medical helicopters and enables medics to warm blood before carrying out a transfusion ensuring patients arrive in hospital in the best possible condition.
Six sets, plus two sets for training purposes have been sent to Afghanistan as part of a £35,000 MOD contract with Prometheus Medical Ltd.
