Swarm Systems' MOD Grand Challenge entry will be a swarm of eight autonomous quadrotor micro air vehicles (MAVs), each weighing less than 1 kg. The swarm of quadrotors will fly over Copehill Down and the imagery will be processed to recognise the targets. The Team's proposal did well in the assessment and we received a funded contract from MOD. The team base is in central London, but it is a virtual organisation with work currently taking place at seven sites in London, Essex, Surrey, Wiltshire and Bedordshire.
