Proposal Submission Timelines

What are the timelines for Open Call unsolicited Proposals?

  • Proposals submitted as an open call (unsolicited proposals) are reviewed at a Decision Conference held on the third Thursday of each month. A senior review panel selects the proposals that will be funded from all the open call submissions received and assessed during the preceding month.
  • To be considered at this meeting and to allow time for expert technical assessment, all submissions must be made through the The Portal by 09:00 on the first Thursday of each month.
  • Feedback from the Decision Conference will be provided as soon as possible after the meeting initially through the The Portal and then by letter to the Enterprise Authority.

What are the timelines when I submit a proposal for a themed call?

  • Each themed call will have a closing time and date for submitting a proposal which is detailed in the Invitation to Tender or the call document.
  • A Decision Conference on that themed call will normally take place 10 working days after the themed call closing date.
  • Feedback from the Decision Conference will be provided as soon as possible after the meeting initially through the The Portal and then by letter to the Enterprise Authority.

High value or complex proposals

  • High value or complex proposals may require further due diligence or discussion and may take longer to assess.
  • We recommend that if you are considering a high value or complex proposal you contact us at an early stage of your proposal preparation.

High or low assessment scores

  • Where proposals have received very high assessment scores, they may be fast-tracked and funded without the need to go to the review panel.
  • Equally, very low scoring or non-compliant proposals will be fast-tracked for rejection and not sent to the review panel.
