The report 'Maximising Defence Capability Through R&D’ was published in October 2007. The report follows a year long review, commissioned by the Chief Scientific Adviser (Professor Sir Roy Anderson at that time) and the former Chief of Defence Procurement, Sir Peter Spencer, into the Ministry of Defence's £2.6BN annual research and development activity. The report provides an impartial, objective and robust review on the effectiveness of MOD's investment.
