All At Sea - Articulating UK Marine Innovation, Science & Technology Priorities

Industry and academia are invited to an event on 18 January 2012, to hear from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl – part of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD)) and the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) about their activities with the UK marine industry – driving innovation and technology priorities and plans in the maritime field. The event is being sponsored by the Defence Special Interest Group and Dstl Programme Office (Maritime Systems Domain), working in partnership with the TSB and the Transport Knowledge Transfer Network.

The event aims to provide insight into the MOD and TSB marine innovation, science and technology strategies to engage the broadest possible range of contributors across all sectors, it is not an exclusively Marine event. MOD will provide visibility of its Maritime research goals and explain how to engage in future research calls.

On the day, the agenda will include workshop sessions for attendees to contribute to the debate on how to stimulate further innovation in the marine sector and to identify new business opportunities involving collaboration between the defence and non-defence sectors. It will provide excellent networking opportunity for all attendees.
