Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) themed call - we are seeking to explore the potential of simulated training environments in military medicine, particularly in areas currently covered by the use of physical models. Emphasis is placed on balancing the costs of training, ethical and political imperatives, effectiveness, standards and opportunities to enhance and maintain skill sets. We are also seeking novel systems that will help those injured in battle. This could be by enhancing current personal equipment to provide increased protection against injury and disease or improving current military patient transport capabilities with technologies that minimise risks to the patient from infection and contamination.
